Orlando Day 6: the final countdown

Auction Results Comments

Trucks rule the ramp on the last day of our Orlando auction.

As we rolled into the final day of Orlando 2019, so did the trucks - hundreds of them. Transport trucks of all shapes, sizes, makes and models sold. All in, there were more than 900 trucks up for grabs – van and reefer trucks, cab & chassis, and more than 400 truck tractors including heavy haul, sleepers, and day cabs, as well as every kind of trailer imaginable. No doubt about it – Saturday is transport day at Orlando.

And there was more than just transport trucks on offer Saturday. We also sold a massive array of winch tractors, tow trucks, pickup trucks, flatbeds, automobiles, recreational vehicles, aircraft, boats, and more. All three auction rings were buzzing with activity all day long, and there was a steady stream of customers through the site from dawn to dusk.

The most important part of Orlando – our customers.

The spectacle of seeing so much equipment in one place is awe-inspiring, but without so many great customers – both buyers and sellers – none of that gear would be at Orlando. We’d sincerely like to thank all our customers for once again making our Orlando auction a world-class event to remember, and for placing their trust in Ritchie Bros.

“The Orlando auction is a tremendous spectacle to come here and see—the number of machines, the amount of buyers. We are able to liquidate an entire fleet of equipment in one week, using the auction to ‘cash out’ those assets and buy newer equipment.”

Michael Vazquez – Meco Miami Inc., from Florida

“I really enjoy coming to the Orlando auction because there are so many pieces of equipment, you get to meet so many great people, and you get to enjoy the great hospitality of Ritchie Bros.”

Joey Chambers – Superior Custom Services, from Georgia

“We do a lot of buying in Orlando because everything you need is going to be here. It doesn’t matter the manufacturer or the type of equipment, there is something for everyone. For people like myself, who were born and raised around equipment, events like Orlando are a lot of fun.”

Ronnie Hedrick Jr. – Bul-Head Corporation, from Florida

Some of the top sellers from Day 6.
